Biography

Trained as a psychiatrist in China and obtained my master degree in psychopharmacology and Ph. D degree in psychiatric genetics, my research has been focused on the molecular genetics of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology. Working closely with Dr. Cubells, I have been involved in several major projects, including the genetics of cocaine-induced psychosis and the biochemical genetics of dopamine beta-hydroxylase and Catechol-O-methyl-transferase. I am also working on the genetic analysis of cigarette smoking, dopamine–related gene studies of Alzheimer’s disease, epidemiology of autistic spectrum disorders in China.
