Research Interests

My research focuses on functional genomics studies for complex traits and diseases, including integrating functional information to genome-wide association studies (GWAS), imputing gene-expression and gene-methylation data, transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS), and genetic pathway analysis. Specifically, I am working on deriving scalable Bayesian methods for functional GWAS, implementing machine learning algorithms for imputing gene expression data, analyzing real DNA and RNA data (microarray/sequence) for complex traits, and developing useful tools.
