We remember Paul M. Fernhoff, MD

Our fearless Emory genetics physician and LSDC medical director, Dr. Paul M. Fernhoff, died unexpectedly on September 19, 2011.  This page stands as our small tribute to the great man that he was and the legacy he left us.  We remember Dr. Fernhoff for his compassionate care of patients and his innovative approach to the practice of medicine.  We also celebrate his delightful sense of humor and his memorable gift of laughter.  We invite you to visit and share remembrances at the wonderful website:  http://www.rememberpaulfernhoff.com/

Help us reach our FINAL GOAL by clicking the Donate button!
Make sure to click “other” for the Gift Designation and for the “Specific Designation”  put the “Paul M. Fernhoff endowment” to get funds to the right place!

In addition to our memories and our continued work with patients and families affected by genetic conditions, there is an Emory based endowment fund open to further underline and honor the lasting impact of a great man. Our goal is to raise enough money to support a Paul M. Fernhoff endowed physician.  As of July 29, 2015, we have met 15% of our goal and funded our first PMF genetic counselor graduate student scholarship!

Depending on the amount of money raised, the fund will be used to keep Paul's memory and academic work alive.  Our end goal is to fund an endowed professorship in genetics.  More information about endowed professorships here
