Ulrike Mietzsch, M.D.
Ulrike joined the Gambello lab in 2007 as part of her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship. Her project included the generation of a mouse model for conditional disruption of Tsc1 from radial glia cells as well as a knockout mouse model for Tsc1 and Tsc2 from radial glia cells. In 2010 she received the David G. Nathan Award for Basic Science Research from the Society for Pediatric Research for her work.
After graduating from her fellowship in the fall of 2010, she joined Indiana University as faculty, where she currently works as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Co-Director of the NeuroNICU program.
