Postdoctoral Positions: Successful candidates will join the laboratory within a vibrant department that includes both basic science and clinical activities in human genetics and genomics. Our laboratory focuses on Non-coding RNA (non-coding triplet repeat expansion and microRNAs) and Epigenetic regulation in human diseases.
Currently we have two opening postdoctoral position for persons who are highly motivated. Individuals with both bench and bioinformatic experience are preferred.
Research Specialist: Applicants with the experience of general molecular biology and handling mouse colonies are preferred.
Lead Research Specialist: Successful candidates will join the laboratory within a vibrant and rapidly expanding department that includes both basic science and clinical activities in human genetics and genomics. Working experience with general molecular biology and mouse colony management is required. Must be able to work independently. Besides the bench work, the duty of candidate will also include ordering lab supply and lab management.
Bioinformatic Internship: Currently we have bioinformatic internship available in the lab for applying high-throughput sequencing data analysis to molecular biology (ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, small RNA expression, etc.). Those interested in the internship should have:
- Advanced background in scripting languages such as perl, python, etc.
- Strong knowledge working in a in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Strong knowledge of genomic databases and tools.
- Basic statistical knowledge applicable to large scale genomic data and gene expression is a plus.
